Denise has served tax business clients for nearly 40 years, both in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the U.S. She serves a diverse client base during those years, including both publicly-traded and privately-held clients. As a tax partner at both Deloitte and Andersen, she has held the Lead Tax Partner position for many years on large, global companies in the retail, life sciences and architectural and engineering industries. She also held the lead position with a large PE firm and its many privately-held portfolio companies, which spanned many industries.
Denise has versatile corporate technical abilities, including deep experience in accounting methods, M&A activities, equity share based payment implications, structuring, U.S. businesses with overseas operations, 2017 Tax Reform and federal tax incentives. She specializes in ASC 740 matters, having spent many years on both sides of the audit of public company tax provisions, and as an adjunct professor of Accounting for Income Taxes at the Master of Science in Taxation program at Golden Gate University.
Denise also served as both the Consumer Business Industry Leader of Deloitte Tax in the West Region and the National Retail and Distribution Industry Tax Leader. She previously served as the Lead Partner of Tax recruiting in San Francisco and the Women’s Initiative Leader of the same office.
Denise Robeson holds an active CPA license in California.
Denise spends her time outside the office supporting animal rights and contributing to charities in her community.
