Elaine is a Tax Director in BPM’s San Francisco office and is a member of the Firm’s State and Local Taxes (SALT) team. She has over 25 years of experience working with clients in all stages of business development and in a wide variety of industries. Elaine helps companies and organizations increase awareness of state income tax compliance and planning opportunities, as well as review their business operations to identify state income tax nexus. She also assists clients with audit defense services and compliance through state tax exposure assessment and identifying due diligence issues.
Elaine stays up-to-date with ever-evolving tax rules and works with clients to provide superior service and to build trust in the process. She prides herself on applying thorough tax analysis for companies and organizations based on current laws and a position that is most beneficial to clients.
Before joining BPM’s tax team, Elaine worked at Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP for more than 20 years. There she gained experience working with technology startups, as well as closely held businesses, companies with international operations and investment partnerships.
Elaine Leung holds an active CPA license in California.
