John Ashton

John has over six years of public accounting experience and is a Tax Manager in BPM’s Santa Rosa office.

His primary focus is on the consulting, planning and preparation of business entity’s tax returns. John specializes in partnering with entities that have flow-through and corporate structures, where he strives to provide guidance to maximize tax benefits.

Some of the areas he specializes in include: tax implications of partnership restructuring, calculating complex waterfall allocations in accordance with established operating agreements and reviewing fixed asset ledgers and applying applicable tax law to accelerate depreciation to the furthest extent possible.

John Ashton holds an active CPA license in California.

John loves to spend his free time hiking in Yosemite, carving down the slopes in Tahoe or playing a round of golf on one of the many gorgeous Bay Area courses.
