Maxim Céré-Marcoux has over 10 years of professional experience with audits, specializing in US GAAP and IFRS, with a technical background in revenue recognition, business combinations, accounting for debt, and equity transactions. Maxim has worked with a variety of client types, including public, private, nonprofits, venture capital and investment funds, as well as pension plans.
Maxim has extensive audit experience, with a variety of different client types, including conducting a first-year audit for a bio-tech client that involved looking through historical equity transactions, reviewing the accounting treatment of the entity’s leases and revenue recognition policies, and ensuring that the required disclosures were present in the final audited financial statements. Maxim is noted for his reporting, and analytic skills, as well as his thorough documentation and coaching and management style.
Maxim also has experience conducting audits for recently acquired entities with pushdown accounting and significant related-party transactions, as well as crypto investment funds with large portfolio of investments varying in nature, size, and accounting treatment.
