Michael Watson is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with nearly two decades of experience in financial planning and investment management. He specializes in providing financial guidance to high-net-worth individuals and families, business owners, foundations and endowments, and institutional clients.

Michael’s areas of specialization include comprehensive financial planning, investment consulting, foundation and endowment guidance, executive compensation arrangements, single stock risk management, financial windfall planning, and tax-sensitive investing. He prides himself on providing the highest level of service while developing strong, long-term relationships with his clients. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals through personalized solutions tailored to their specific needs.

Throughout his career, Michael has achieved numerous professional accomplishments. He holds the following designations: Certified Financial Planner® Practitioner (CFP®) designation, a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®). He also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 Securities Licenses. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Portland State University, where he served as the President of the Financial Management Association. He later completed the CFP®, ChFC® and CAP® programs through the American College.

Interesting Tidbit

Mike believes in stepping out of his comfort zone and maintaining a global perspective. He does this by packing a bag, going to the airport and taking the next random international flight anywhere in the world he has not been. After landing (and hopefully finding a place to sleep), he splits his time learning the local sport and volunteering at the nearest animal shelter.
