Sharon Cassell

Sharon leads BPM’s Risk Assurance and Advisory Group, serving as an Internal Controls and SOX Compliance leader nationwide for both public and private companies in a wide variety of industries including Life Science, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Retail, Consumer Products, Hospitality, Real Estate and Manufacturing. Sharon has managed the internal audit function for large global companies and has led internal controls and process improvement assessments. She also has extensive experience in managing SOX readiness and 404 compliance engagements that includes the development of annual planning and scoping, risk assessment, business and IT RCM, walkthroughs, narratives, COSO 2013 framework, SSAE 18 SOC 1 evaluation, business and IT control testing, gap analysis and management’s report of internal controls.

Sharon Cassell holds an active CPA license in California.

Sharon is a passionate skier, hiker, and backpacker, including having completed the 240 mile John Muir Trail in the Sierras in one 21 day stretch.
